- 'City in Common' draws on research undertaken over a period of ten years, including periods of extended research in diverse libraries and archives in Buenos Aires. It assesses a very wide range of ‘texts’ (including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, film, photography, art events, and comics magazines) and their accompanying critical fields and methodologies. Primary sources are read in conjunction with analysis of three decades of urban development and politics in the Argentine capital. The book also contributes to wider debates in urban and political theory, both in English and Spanish, particularly in relation to ‘the urban commons’ and the ‘multitude’.
