- This edited double special issue of the journal Cultural Trends (144 pages) is a primary output of the AHRC-funded project 'Understanding Everyday Participation- Articulating Cultural Values' (2012-2018) co-led by Andrew Miles and Lisanne Gibson. The project was the largest in the AHRC's Connected Communities: Cultures and Creative Economies programme. Along with her co-editor, Gibson developed and submitted a proposal for a Special Double Issue on 'Understanding Everyday Participation' to the journal Cultural Trends. Miles and Gibson directly commissioned and edited 11 chapters (editorial split Miles and Gibson 55/45%). In addition, they co-authored an extended introduction (4100wds) for part 1 and an editorial (1500wds) for part 2. There are a further 3 articles (total word count 17800wds) co-authored by Gibson across both parts of the double issue which contains 13 articles in total. The introductory essay for part 1 (Miles 55% and Gibson 45% 2016) articulates the theoretical basis for the project and its contribution to key academic debates and provides the underpinning frame for the articles across the whole issue.
