- Geàrr-Ghràmar na Gàidhlig is a concise Scottish Gaelic grammar, with sections on Orthography (alphabet, old names of letters, modern conventions, stress, vowels, letters showing consonant quality, compensatory lengthening, heavy syllables, length marking, epenthesis, nasalisation, hiatus, reduction, consonants, lenited consonants); Punctuation; Phonology; Mutations; Morphology (article, nouns, compound nouns, derivative suffixes, proper nouns, adjectives, compound adjectives, derivative suffixes, comparison, numerals, multiplicatives, pronouns and pronominal phrases, pre-verbal particles, verbal system, conjunctions, prepositions, prefixes, adverbs); along with commentary on syntax. The book is written in Gaelic and includes contextual examples, including from literature. A Gaelic-English glossary of grammatical terminology is provided.
