- This book (pp.240) is a keystone publication arising from a major ESRC-sponsored research project on the topic of the office of Language Commissioner in Wales, Ireland and Canada. The analysis presented in the book is based upon a complex and extensive body of source material, in several languages. This material includes 102 governmental documents that could only be obtained by submitting access requests under the pertinent freedom of information legislation in Wales and Ireland. The research data used in the book also includes material from a series of 70 elite interviews held in Wales, Ireland and Canada.
