- A new concept for software in loop calibration procedure is proposed in this paper. Paper gives details to implementation engineers for using of Economic Order quantity and Lambert W function while developing calibration tools. The steps and the mathematical concepts proposed in this paper can be used by vehicle manufacturers to evaluate and apply EOQ for their relevant engine types. A co-author who is working with Jaguar Land Rover implements various methods used in this paper using 1D engine simulation and co-simulation of software applications for improving the overall performance of the engines.
