- This publication reports the findings of a pilot project which investigated the health of Post Office employees across different types of places in the UK in the nineteenth century. The success of the pilot project demonstrated the necessity and feasibility of research into the health of service sector workers during the period on a larger scale, and thereby led directly to a successful application for a three-year collaborative award from the Wellcome Trust (217755/Z/19/Z).
