- Sansom originally defined the sample of galaxies that went into this paper. Sansom then worked with Basset on the classification of galaxies by kinematics described in the paper. Sansom’s further contributions were the dust characteristics of the sample of early-type galaxies, detailed classifications, and a significant part of the writing of the paper.
