- This paper relates to the interface between science and law which is one of the fundamental challenges of the forensic science ecosystem and clarifies and identifies the root cause of the problems suggesting how these might be addressed and how their efficacy can be determined. The work was presented at the Dundee Women’s festival and at the Royal Society of Edinburgh Festival of Curiosity and underpinned a Churchill Fellowship involving senior judiciary in the UK, Australia and Canada. The work is supported by the Leverhulme Trust through the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science.
