- This book is the outcome of more than ten years of research and applied work in Pakistan’s health bureaucracy as a freelance researcher on sexually transmitted disease, reproductive health and family planning. The author carried out fifteen months of ethnographic fieldwork at the National AIDS Control Programme to produce this first full length ethnography of HIV/AIDS work in relation to the government and NGOs.
