- Funded by the University this work considered hairy black holes, long ,thought to be important to the information paradox, but with an infinite quantity of hair. The solutions contain both an electric and magnetic sector, which is only possible for a negative cosmological constant. Such models have previously been used via the AdS/CFT conjecture to derive results concerning the behaviour of superconductors. Current work, developing linear stability analysis, indicates that at least some of these solutions will be stable, which violates the spirit and letter of Bizon’s “Modified hair conjecture” thereby updating this 30 year-old supposition.
