- The book, written over five years, provides the first ever comprehensive analysis of UK takeover regulation. It provides a systematic analysis of all Takeover Code case-law since 1968. It also draws extensively on hitherto unexplored source materials, including newspaper archives and Code disclosure documents. The book interacts and makes original contributions to regulatory theory (the preconditions and substantive effects of self-regulation) and the economic analysis of takeover regulation.
