- The application of novel analytical techniques to mapping illicit substances in fingermarks was demonstrated. A significant operational outcome conducted after enhancement of fingermarks by conventional methods. Information about the depositor adds context and significance in a court of law. The article generated media attention altimetric (top 5% of comparable publications). Resulting collaborations with Sheffield Hallam University (Prof Simona Francese) and the Netherlands Forensic Institute (Dr Marcel de Puit) have resulted in a co-authored textbook, a book chapter commentary, a review article, and ongoing research.
