- Double-weighted statement
- This book is approximately 100K words and the result of five years' research into a wealth of primary source materials, much of which has never been used by historians or other scholars of American crime. It embodies a radically new way of understanding and challenging many myths about the subject, not least by drawing attention away from such individuals as Al Capone and Lucky Luciano and placing significant emphasis on a much wider range of individuals (e.g. white supremacist terrorists, smugglers, corrupt government officials and counterfeiters).
