- The approach taken here is new in the context of wind turbine investigations at the concept design stage. The fact that the environmental impacts were assessed using reliable data, the stakeholders can make informed decisions about investment by taking environmental impacts into consideration. The method can be used as a potential tool for scrutinising existing wind turbines in operation and hence to aid future investments. The idea can be extended to any other renewable energy systems.
