- This paper was based on a long term in-vivo study of a new quantitative assessment method of fracture healing in humans to replace the use of radiographs and reliance on qualitative manipulation. It was selected for presentation at British Limb Reconstruction Society annual meeting (2018) and formed the basis of a successful bid to the European Space Agency (ca €4million project). It led to Honorary Professor invitations for Ogrodnik at Guangxi University of Science and Technology and University of Ateneo de ManillaIt and supported the establishment of a multidisciplinary Orthopaedics and Biomechanics research group spanning clinical, engineering, and fundamental sciences.
