- This volume was one of the outcomes of a major EU funded project on which Sørensen was the PI. She conceptualised the volume’s focus on memorials and memorialisation as two core performative aspects of the heritagisation of history, and had primary responsibility for selecting the authors as well as editing the volume, including extensive editorial revisions and advice for all chapters. She decided the thematic structure for the Introduction, conducted the necessary research and drafted the text (pp.1-32). Sørensen also co-authored Chapter 9, creating the conceptual structure and identifying the themes, with Adriansen providing the historical details about the specific case.
