- Archi: Complexities of agreement in cross-theoretical perspective is the culmination of an extended period of research, funded by the AHRC 2012-2015. It represents an investigation in considerable depth of a key morphosyntactic phenomenon (agreement) in a language (Archi) where agreement presents properties that challenge existing theoretical generalisations. The book presents a large body of primary source data obtained during the project through fieldwork in Dagestan. The data are analysed from three different theoretical perspectives (those of three major theories of syntax, HPSG, LFG and Minimalism). The conclusions, based on a comparison of these different analyses, go well beyond Archi.
