- This 80,000 word monograph represents the culmination of over a decade’s research on filmmaker and poet, Margaret Tait. Sustained by two Carnegie Trust grants and an AHRC Early Career Fellowship, the project was the first to engage with Tait’s extensive archive of films, audio recordings, art works, and over thirty boxes of text-based material (largely uncatalogued previously). The research involved working with Tait’s estate to identify new materials, overseeing their digitisation and preservation, before depositing them with the relevant archives. The collation of these resources was vital for enabling the book’s reflection on Tait’s work across various interdisciplinary contexts.
