- The GMPR data compression-encryption methods are funded by Sheffield Hallam’s IAB-Innovation Advisory Board and led to awarded patents deriving from International Patent Application PCT/GB2016/050512 and commercial trials at DCO AI Inc, Arizona, US. The methods are designed to keep data safe both on a local server and in a cloud-based environment giving users unmatched control of their data security while providing significant savings in storage space and bandwidth requirements. This paper describes an extension of the technologies to audio data. This represents significant new IP that is being integrated into the data compression-encryption methods increasing commercial appeal of the technologies.
