- LifeMap won the EHRA Inventors Award 2016 at the European Heart Rhythm Association Europace/Cardiostim conference. This paper is significant because it proposes a novel approach to improve prediction of sudden cardiac death (SCD) in patients with ischaemic cardiomyopathy. LifeMap combines our Regional Restitution Instability Index (R2I2) with Peak ECG restitution slope (PERS) to provide a better SCD risk stratification technique than currently used, potentially reducing both false positives and false negatives.
