- Additional information
- This is the first report on a new type of molten-carbonate fuel cell (without CO2 recirculation) using biomass as fuel. Achieving an energy efficiency of ~ 80%, it is a promising new technology for power generation, especially in remote areas. This new design enables easy removal of impurities in fuels, expands the fuel choices, and makes it flexible and feasible to scale-up further. The work was published in Science Advances (IF = 12.8).
