- The book was the outcome of a five year research project, based on a wide range of primary sources, located in more than a dozen archival collections in Britain, Italy, France, the US. It included the analysis of a large body of documents: private papers, published books, pamphlets, articles, manifestos and speeches from the 1940s, in 3 languages (English, Italian and French). The history of globalism was investigated in depth, from different disciplinary and methodological perspectives, such as philosophy of science, economics, international law, geopolitics, religion and political ideologies. It engages with a large volume and range of secondary literature.
