- This book examines the contention that ‘Poetry is the investigation of complex contemporary realities through the means (meanings) of form.’ Whilst it is written under the sign of the work of Derek Attridge. It departs from him in important areas concerning the cognitive aspects of form. The book makes contributions to the areas of formal analysis, theoretically, particularly in terms of new attitudes to form, forms and forming, and the extension of the notion beyond the textual. This further exploration of linguistically innovative poetry is significant.
