- Additional information
- Introduced, demonstrated and evaluated an approach to teaching a companion robot that allows an end-user (i.e. an elderly person, or their carers or relatives) to create and personalise a robot’s behaviours within a smart home environment. This work has highlighted the need for a formal verification to be used in high-level planner for an autonomous personal robotic assistant to be both safe and trustworthy to its user and led to follow-on publications (IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, 46, 186-196, 2016; Critical Systems: Formal Methods and Automated Verification, 10471, 119, 2017).
