- Outcome of 3 years of research within the Horizon 2020 project ENDEAVOUR (grant no 644960), continued in the EPSRC EARL project (EP/P025374/1, 2018 to 2020) with industrial collaborators Cisco, CORSA Technology, Energy Sciences Network, Geant (UK), London Internet Exchange Ltd. Part of our software, called Umbrella, is running in the production network of TouSIX in France (https://blog.apnic.net/2017/05/08/tousix-project-sdn-ixps-design-production/, contact Marc Bruyere <mbruyere@nc.u-tokyo.ac.jp>). Our open-source software can be deployed inside IXPs of any size, supports a large number of use cases, and is highly scalable. Work will enable IXPs to get control on their fabric and introduce new services to their members.
