- The outcome of five years’ research and preparation, this monograph utilizes original interviews with cultural practitioners and archival research in Vienna. An interdisciplinary study, it examines works by living Austrian authors, filmmakers and artists, which have not previously been examined collectively, nor analysed concurrently with relation to Austria’s evolving memory culture. In contrast to previous studies on the post-Waldheim period, this book considers works by male and female, Jewish and non-Jewish Austrian writers, filmmakers and artists.
