- This 80,000-word monograph is based on several years of postdoctoral research. It draws together a broad array of theoretical frameworks from distinct analytic and intellectual traditions to propose a novel methodology for approaching the landscape of African literature. It covers a wide geography (the whole of sub-Saharan Africa with the exception of South Africa) and includes analyses of works published locally on the African continent, which are both less visible in Europe and often neglected by scholarship from the global North, to consider their impact on the mapping of African literature.
