- Work was published in VLDB, the leading all-round database conference. It proposes the formalization and implementation of access schema, a key notion of bounded evaluation. It started a successful line of research, yielding a series of subsequent SIGMOD/PODS/VLDB papers, fruitful collaboration with the University of Antwerp, and BEAS, a system that was demonstrated at SIGMOD2017. BEAS was proven effective by Huawei and has partially contributed to the establishment of a joint lab at the university for open research (contact: Senior Director, Business Development). The research is part of an invited talk at the DSTP Workshop at LSE in March 2018.
