- 130,000 words in length, this is a complex, extended, and multi-layered output from an eight-year research project. It comprises ground-breaking interview and primary-source research on a large number of independent publishers, publishing platforms, and writing collectives, and forges new concepts for analysis of the ‘material text’ of publishing. Five of the six chapters are each far more extensive and ambitious than could be achieved in a typical-length journal article. The book is a major interdisciplinary contribution in the sociology of publishing, literary theory, media studies, and political theory. It has also been published in Serbian translation and in Open Access.
