- One of the latest publications of the FP7 STREP ACCORDANCE reporting on the complete MAC layer of Next Generation Passive Optical Networks (NGPONs), based on OFDMA. The OFDMA-PON was a candidate technology for the standardisation of NGPON2 in 2015 and ACCORDANCE, the solution backed up by Alcatel Lucent. Alcatel Lucent and Bell Labs Germany, were ACCORDANCE partners closely working with UH (workpackage leaders) on the MAC which they patented on 01/07/2014 (pa. no. US8625987B2).
