- This work considers sustainable communication coverage in wireless sensor networks (WSN), while using both sensors nodes and some additional relay nodes. It is significant because it introduces a new topology model that is completely different from the existing one-tiered and two-tiered models. It is appropriate for many emerging WSN’s applications (e.g., energy harvesting enabled). The work includes both theoretical and simulation analyses that demonstrate considerable improvement and scalability of the proposed model and algorithms.
