- Double-weighted statement
- This book merits double-weighting because it represents the exploration of a particularly complex conceptual and literary relation between three bodies of literary works from two significantly different linguistic and historical contexts. The study analysed very extensive primary and secondary sources, spanning various literary genres and difficult theoretical questions about poetics, philosophy and literature, and comparative methodology. It was the result of four years of intensive research, and represents the first book-length investigation of literary relations between the 20thC French avant-garde and premodern Chinese literature.
