- The work was original in that it presented a novel technique for generating a temperature independent voltage reference. The significance is that would have a major impact on the development of ultra-low power biomedical systems. Applications include wearable and implantable biomedical monitors where power consumption is a major consideration. These could include things like 24 hours insulin level monitoring, heart monitoring etc.
