- This internationally agreed protocol is used by medical device companies, e.g. Noraker (France) (contact: FoEREF@ic.ac.uk), for quality assurance testing and regulatory approval submissions for their bioactive glass devices. International research groups use it for comparing new materials to existing materials e.g. Zanotto (Brazil); Herrmann (Switzerland); Eden (Sweden); Boyd (Canada); Du (USA). Led to invitation to join ASTM (USA) working group (WK65452) to develop a standard for bioactivity (FoEREF@ic.ac.uk).
