- This publication results from Reed's 5+ year involvement in the Mining and Faith Reflections Initiative between churches (Anglican Communion, Roman Catholic and Methodist Church internationally) and the mining industry, including several of the world's leading companies and The International Council on Mining and Metals. This involvement included participation in the Anglo American Plc Advanced Social Management Programme run by Anglo American, spanning a six-month period (PT). The monograph challenges both sectors (mining and the churches) by rethinking Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s ethic of responsibility for an age of global inequality, high levels of consumption and environmental crisis.
