- Additional information
- For the first time the method previously used in the frequency domain was applied to the time-domain fracture mechanics problems for cracked materials under transient loading. The results led to further consideration of the effects of cracks’ closure on the distribution of the components of the stress-strain field. The paper stems from the EPSRC funded project (EP/E020976/1); the reported work was supported by the British Council.
