- Additional information
- This volume constitutes the first published collection for over 20 years of writings on the work of composer and pianist Michael Finnissy. I jointly conceived the project with my co-editor, and we identified and approached appropriate contributors prior to submitting the proposal for successful peer review. In addition to sole authoring chapters 3 and 16, I contributed approximately 50% of the Introduction, notably pages 2-4, from the end of page 6 to mid-page 8, and from the end of page 10 to page 13 (all contributions on my own writings are by my co-editor). All other chapters were exhaustively edited, re-edited and in some cases re-written by both co-editors, both before and after peer review. I also assisted contributors in obtaining a large number of scores, recordings and other related material. Both editors also sourced camera-ready copies of the many musical examples included and obtained the appropriate permissions from copyright holders.
