- This is a long-form output (monograph), which entailed long-term research effort, over a duration of seven years, necessary to build collaborative relationships and provide a sustained analysis of complex primary data. Further follow up research included additional interviews and close collaboration with the study informants. The book builds a novel conceptual synthesis through detailed engagement with a very broad range of sources, uniquely connecting architectural and anthropological literatures. It involves a novel narrative approach, developed through multiple iterations, including sustained close collaboration with the informants at the heart of the study.
