- Double-weighted statement
- The book draws together large scale data collected over three years as part of an in-depth, multi-sited, case study investigation of the changing nature of school governance in England and its impact on relations of accountability between schools and communities and central government, funded by the ESRC (2012-2015), grant reference: ES/K001299/1. The book is the culmination of extensive theorising and empirical investigation of the role of corporate planning and expert handling to school governance at a time of decreased community participation, shrinking local government support and increased private sector involvement in public sector organisation.
