- This is a paper in the area of "proof mining" - where methods from logic have been used to obtain new results in analysis. This article is the first time such methods have been used to study convergence theorems in Banach spaces which are based on nonemptiness of the interior of the set of fixpoints. Although the author specialises in mathematical logic, the paper is published in an analysis journal, highlighting the cross-disciplinary aspect of this work.
