- Double-weighted statement
- This single-authored monograph provides an original theoretical and conceptual analysis of contemporary issues and effects of tourism development in Africa. It conveys a substantive and longitudinal body of empirically grounded novel research conducted by the author in Sub-Saharan Africa. The book meets the criteria for double weighting as: it is a longer-form output demonstrating a sustained research effort; it presents a critical insight and argument into tourism in Africa which was dependent upon the completion of a decade of data collection; and it investigates the theme in considerable depth and in relation to different contexts within Africa.
