- The reference model for designing interactive online platforms to host peer groups and combat Digital Addiction (DA) has had a direct influence on the design of the SPACE app, which has had more than 2 million downloads and 1 million users, 500,000 of which are active users. This research led to working with Streetscene, an addiction rehabilitation charity. Our partnership with them resulted in creation of best practice advice for DA concerns on their website, and the willingness by the charity to accept patients who wish to address their problematic social media or gaming.
