- Double-weighted statement
- We request this book be double weighted. It took several years to write because, required the acquisition of skills in unfamiliar disciplines - biochemistry, crystallography and physics, and necessitated dialogue with research scientists, who guided Leslie’s comprehension. Leslie took multiple research trips: to Japan, US and Europe. Parallel to its writing was engagement with an artist to extend its theses into exhibitions and published illustrated materials. There were also discussions with curators who took aspects into their exhibits. These examples are evidence of lengthy and co-ordinated efforts and of the work’s reach across disciplines, within and outside the academic realm
