- Reports on an analysis of the use cases and functionality of terminology registries and proposes a resulting core set of metadata elements. The article is an outcome of an international interdisciplinary collaboration and partly funded by JISC. The recommendations contributed to the Networked Knowledge Organization Systems (NKOS) Dublin Core Application Profile (NKOS AP). Cited in context of the current Basel Register of Thesauri, Ontologies and Classifications (BARTOC.org, with more than 3000 vocabularies) as a full terminology registry for knowledge organization systems (eg https://doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-14401-2_1).
