- This paper proposed an end-to-end outage probability analysis expressions for the transmission scheme subject to interferences from PUEs. The optimal harvesting time ratio is obtained to get the maximum capacity for end-to-end D2D communications. The results provide a potential pathway to reduce reliance on grid or battery energy supplies and, hence, further strengthen the benefits for the environment and deployment of future smart devices. Some results of this paper has been recommended the ITU standardisation on ITU-R radio communications (https://www.itu.int/pub/R-REP-SM.2422-1-2019) and 5GPPP 5G architecture white paper on https://5g-ppp.eu/5g-ppp-architecture-public-consultation/. This paper led directly to the EU H2020 6G BRAINS project.
