- First to demonstrate the adverse effects of structural accessibility support on the inclusion of visually impaired children in mainstream schools; and present co-design methods for engaging visually-impaired and sighted participants in inclusive design processes . Funded by EPSRC Fellowship (EP/N00616X/2), led to: additional funding from Bristol Brigstow Institute to pursue collaborations with the School of Education; three invited talks at the universities of Sussex, Glasgow and Bath; a CHI2018 panel discussion on participatory design and marginalised communities; and to collaborations to launch a community of research practice with researchers from universities of Colorado, Maryland, Toulouse, Washington and Microsoft Research Cambridge.
