- As a long-form output, this 238pp. monograph shows continued research effort through a detailed study of the connections between luxury and visual culture in the present period, which is advanced through eight chapters. The research process entailed an extensive period of rigorous textual examination of a large quantity of critical and theoretical, visual, and cultural sources by Roland Barthes and Jean Baudrillard, Pierre Bourdieu, Mike Featherstone, Stuart Hall, and Jeff Koons, in addition to the amassing and scrutiny of many secondary printed and visual sources from luxury brands and contemporary fashion, art, photography, cinema, television, and social media.
