- This book was the culmination of a collaboration of four research teams in the US, UK, Canada and Australia over a period of four years. It required complex harmonisation of four national datasets that, for data security reasons, had to be worked with independently in the home countries. This was therefore a major endeavour that involved a high degree of coordination of funding and researcher time, including year-long residential fellowships on the four main authors at the Russell Sage Foundation in New York.
