- This was an invited journal article following an IEEE conference presentation at EEEIC 2015, which proposed a new way of thinking about scheduling of smart appliances for demand response applications. This has allowed multiple subsequent research groups of note from Europe, America and Asia to develop more efficient smart home technologies. The research supported funding applications for the H2020 projects DR-BoB (696114) and REACT (824395) and has strengthened collaboration with Siemens UK (Senior Consultant at Siemens Energy Management Division, Siemens UK Ltd.). A hardware prototype was developed as part of DR-BoB and will be deployed at demonstration sites during REACT.
