- This paper achieves a milestone of the field of exciton-polariton physics, namely, to enter the strong quantum regime of single-particle nonclassical effects. It also demonstrates the potential for applications by performing quantum spectroscopy on a Bose-Einstein condensate in a semiconductor, characterising the magnitude and speed of its fluctuations.
